Greetings and Salutations my fellow Game enthusiests. I would first and formost like to apologize for the lapse in my reports and for being MIA for the past few months. October brings us full swing back into action with our sessions focused on Pathfinder. We will be playing playing Pathfinder through December. As Game Master for this quarter I have chosen a D&D adventure for first level characters and converted into the Pathfinder system. Without giving away too much, the Characters are pitted against Goblins, Kobolds, Wolves, Orcs and More! A once prosperous town has fallen to these minions and within the plundered ruins lie treasures yet to be unearthed, including the last of the slaying stones- deadly relics from bygone wars. Even now, evil forces scour the ruins in search of the stone. Will they be succesful? Stay Tuned! As this adventure continues I will be adding content, including pictures and meeting minutes, as this will lead right up-to our quarter end. Until next time, Josh.0

10/14/12 and 10/28/12 Empty Into the City

Post  Josh.0 November 1st 2012, 8:15 pm

On a dark windy night a group of adventures' set off into the wilderness along a grown over path guided only by the dim moon and a distant light. Da'nogg (the warrior), Valen (the cleric), Zyllis Silverroot (the druid) with his trusty crocodile companion-Crook, Raven (the rogue) and Boarak (the half-orc) battled the wind and rain in seek of shelter as the howls of wolves grew closer.

As a tower came into view and the light of a torch along it's wall beckoned them to safety, a group of Grey and Ravenous Wolves surrounded them with starvation in their eyes. The wolves attacked from all sides it seemed, even knocking the Half-Orc prone trying to drag him away to feed their pack. Just as all hope seemed lost a brilliant plan was put into action, Zylas noticed that these wolves weren't attacking in a threatened manner but as if they were just starving so he laid out a few days worth of rations and almost instantly they all began to cluster upon it. As soon as the wolves were busy they set off towards the tower and behind them Valen cast a Cloud of Invisibility to shroud them from further attacks. As they approached the tower a woman's voice called out to them to get inside. Some already in and a couple trying to reach the door, one wolf who wasn't ready to let his meal go leaped into action just missing his victim as a loud cackle of lightning struck it in the side singing fur and burning it's flesh. With all members safe inside the woman closes the door and introduces herself as Treona.

She invites the group into the sitting room where a fire roars in the hearth. A middle age man descends the stairs to join them and Treona introduces him as Kiris Alkirk. Treona explains to the group that she is in need of some hearty adventurers to find a lost relic of great power for her and that they may spend the night at the tower to heal their wounds. After an explanation of the quest and some deliberation the group sets out for the town that once was occupied by humans but now nothing more that Goblin ruins.

Equipped with a map of the town and three ritual scrolls, identical scrolls attuned to the slaying stone that will show a ghostly image of the item if it's nearby, the party enters the old Library where they encountered Rort the Tomeripper and some Goblin Cohorts. Zylas set Rort aflame and the others cut through the goblin resistance with ease. After the confrontation a thorough search reveals no indication of the stone but a couple of potions were found and up stairs among the shelves was Zylas' Dwarven Ale Master, Grunyar.
A brief drunken reunion and explanation revealed that Grunyar is in search of information about a band of Orcs known as the Severed Eye, seeing that they may be of help to one another they set off in search one party member larger. Exiting the back door of the Library they meet a small band of goblins and kobolds, some with a scar across one of their eyes rendering it useless, a feeble attempt at reasoning with the creatures rendered moot so the party ended them swiftly.

Traveling cautiously through the shadows of the dark streets the party arrives at what was once known as the Temples. Nothing but ruins now the group encounters a man in tattered and torn royal garbs who is reluctant at first and even tried to hide form the adventures, introduces himself as Kiris Hoyt. Hoyt has lived in the ruins undetected by the minions here, save a few he had to make disappear, for several years after being abandoned by the Kiris family as a power play to the family fortune. Hoyt suddenly snaps to attention as the thundering of dozens of little feet start to pound on the stone floors. Goblins rush into the hallway to the south and they hear more to the north pounding on a door. Their leader brandishes a silver sword and yells "Kill the rat man, them too!! KILL ALL RAT MANS!" Hoyt begins to shake uncontrollably and shapeshifts into his wererat form...... What will the adventurers do? Stay Tuned for more!

Hoyt begins to shake uncontrollably and shapeshifts into his wererat form...... What will the adventurers do? Stay Tuned for more!

The adventurers are left facing a party of Goblins and a Goblin leader named Triflik Silverblade, Triflik wants nothing more than to kill this Ratman and now the group that is with him. Brandishing a silver dagger he commands his lackies to do his bidding of ridding his domain of these pests. Slams and crashes come from the north doors as something tries to batter it's way into the shrine room the party sets into action. Hoyt scrambles his way to the goblins to the south as does Zyliss, Crook, Boarak and Grunyar with Danogg and Raven heading to the north to fend off what is trying to get through the doors and Valen heads up the median of the field to stay within healing range of the party. Slashing through two goblins pretty easily Triflik is engaged with a brief request of words and has none of it, he only wants to kill the rat. Crook takes a few bites of the Goblin leader as do the weapons of Zyliss and Grunyar.

Danogg plants his shield to the ground and prepares for a rush as Raven comes up with a rope trip plan, as the door crashes open and a small horde of goblins poor out at rush the companions Raven pulls taut the rope and trips up the first two goblins sending two more face first to the floor. Danogg slams his shield into the throat of one sending its head rolling off and rendering the goblin next to him useless. Valen moves in for a brutal kill and sends another goblin scattering.
Triflik is dealt a final blow and the remaining goblins killed or fled Danogg picks up Trifliks silver dagger making Hoyt, now in human form, very nervous as Silver is deadly to a lycanthrope. Dagger away the party talks with Hoyt about the slaying stone, he reveals that he had heard of the stone being in the library and he has seen signs of a Brass Dragon and over heard goblins say they thought the dragon dug something up and left, he believes it was digging a layer near the hot springs.
After discussing this new information a plan was made and the group was off to the Hot Springs, a Dragon's Lair!

Upon reaching the springs they found the lair easily and in it a brass dragon who revealed itself, after the party's motives were of good intent, as Tyristys. Danogg asks the dragon for the stone and with little reluctance gives it to him, Danogg in turn gives the dragon the silver dagger and goes back to sleep, She just wants to be left alone after all! The party then backs away slowly, bowing all the way. What happens next? stay tuned!
