Forum Ranking System Empty Forum Ranking System

As you may have seen under your Avatar, if you have above 5 posts, there is a new little picture and rank name. We implemented a ranking system for the boards that relies on Posts. These ranks range from Private-0 posts to Lt. General-300 posts with about 20 Ranks in-between. The Top achievable rank being General(Moderator), granted as a special rank to those wanting/deserving such. As I mentioned that these ranks rely on posts the Forum Admin's and Mod's will be monitoring each thread for bumping, multi-posting, etc. and remove any such action or merge topics if needed.

We have also implemented the Reputation system, this relies on member input. If a fellow OVGian posts a topic that is worthy of a "thumbs up" there are a + and - button to the top right of their post. Clicking the + gives the poster 1 point of positive reputation, clicking - gives 1 point of negative reputation. This system was implemented along with the ranking system to help with members wanting to say "Good Job" with-out actually posting a reply if not necessary. You may cast one vote per post after which the + & - turn to a green bar for positive or an orange bar for negative votes and no longer vote-able.

There is a Warning system available for us to implement if we deem it necessary but at this time we have not. If this is implemented we will post it here and how it works as well.

If anyone has questions regarding any of the above direct a PM to Admin or Spectre and we will respond as soon as possible.

Happy "Ranking" -Admin
