Plastic Sheet..."On the Cheap"
Here's a quick tip, as model-builders we are always in need of construction materials. One of the things I use most when scratchbuilding is plastic-card or sheet stock. Now as most of you already know you can get this stuff in hobby shops in different thickness/sizes. It is made by companies like "Plastruct" and "Evergreen" and comes in patterns like brick, stone, diamond plate, etc., now this is extremely cool but I mostly need just "plain" style sheet...well if you buy the brand "E" or "P" you'll usually pay about $5-7(U.S.) for a couple of plain sheets about 3"x8" (approx). Now instead of doing that just go to your local hardware and pick up a couple of "No-Tresspass" signs, these come in thin enough to work in small scale and are HUGE!! (about 15"x20") and are only $3 or $4!! The print on side can just be painted over. Now you know the "secret"....get busy BUILDING!!!
